Have any of you returned a bat under warranty to LS? I bought my son a bat on ebay and of course Louisville Warranty policy says they won't accept a receipt from ebay or PayPal... only from "authorized dealers". It's a 2007 model bat and it cracked all the way around.

Any suggestions?

Buy another identical bat at a sporting goods store. Photocopy the receipt and send it to the manufacturer with your damaged bat. Then return the new bat to the store with the original receipt.

My son (11) cracked the graphite section of his Easton Stealth. We had purchased it about one month earlier at Barcelona Sports. I talked with Easton, then sent them the bat and a photocopy of the recepit. I had a new bat in five days.

I bought one bat in high school (TPX) and it was from Barcelona Sporting Goods. I would return my bat every time it cracked which happend to be within a year everytime and Barcelona would take care of it for me as far as getting a new one. My question is how are kids at that age cracking bats in such a short period of time? I guess the walls aren't as thick as they use to be.

The Easton Stealth has a graphite section lust above the tape and well below the barrel. My son hits a lot of inside pitches. One obviously hit that section the wrong way and cracked it. He has never cracked a Catalyst (LS), and hasn't cracked his new Stealth. I think it was just a freak thing.

We cracked plenty of bats when I was in little league ('71-73).

This was when I played little league which was about 8 years ago but i had an Air Attack 2 and i cracked it and sent it in. They ended up sending me the AIR 3 which was pretty cool.

Returned a softball bat a few years ago and had no problem but I had the receipt from the dealer. Good Luck. Just like the previous poster, it was also an Air Attack 2 model.
