This was a pretty clear managed loss…this was mildly annoying in April, but in mid-August it's infuriating.

WTH is wrong with Altuve? His approach at the plate recently has been atrocious. Watches two fastballs go by and then swings at a pitch two feet outside.
I used to love watching him go to right field with a pitch but now he's intent on pulling everything since he thinks he's the shorter version of Aaron Judge.
Maybe Joe needs to sit him for a game or two to clear his head.

Dezenzo isn't the answer at 1B. He's really overmatched at the plate and is not very good defensively. He should have been PH for the moment they took Crochet out.

Has anybody that they've called up produced?? I feel like every player they have called up get over matched with straight FB down the middle.

Worst team in modern history and have now put up this garbage against them twice. Mariners should get the division lead back just for that.
Espada sending Chas out to end the big rally lost the game. Honorable mention to Yainer being on a beach somewhere in his mind with no Bregman in the lineup.

They're all getting called up about a year or 2 early. I'd imagine none of those guys getting called up to start was in the plans back in March/april.
Between Abreu being the worst player in America, Tucker getting a bruise and guys sleeping wrong it's pushed up a lot of clocks on the prospects

Absolutely…which makes the front office's inaction all the more confusing. You can't convince me that there haven't been better aged veterans out there than Aledmys Diaz to take a flier on.
The Dodgers recently DFA'd Cavan Biggio…I haven't followed what has happened since, but that feels like something the organization should be trying to get in on. Obviously, he isn't "old"…but you'd have a hard time convincing me he isn't immediately the best guy on your bench.

Dana has had a half dozen chances at DFA'ed players who hit RH or who have heavier RH splits and who play 1B. He/the club chose to not take a flyer on them. Instead they have tried untested rookies.

Admit it. When Gozer said "Choose! Choose the form of the destructor!" you thought of the White Sox.

The game was lost at the Chas AB with runners on second and third. Just a horrible approach with RISP. He swung at a slider of the plate first pitch.
I like Chas. He looked decent in the first series of the year, but after going on the IL with a hamstring injury earlier this season, he has flat out sucked. He needs to do some serious work in the off-season. He's lost.
