News just coming out. 57yrs old…

Our hearts are broken with the loss of Tim Wakefield.

Wake embodied true goodness; a devoted husband, father, and teammate, beloved broadcaster, and the ultimate community leader. He gave so much to the game and all of Red Sox Nation.

I just read that. As a kid, I remember being amazed by the weird movement of his knuckleball. It moved so slow but absolutely baffled the batters.

Prayers for everyone fighting cancer and their families.

Feel terrible for his kids...apparently Tim's wife has pancreatic cancer.

He was indeed pretty much the last of the knuckleball generation.

Thoughts and prayers to the family. Have always been an astros fan but I enjoyed watching him in tight game situations. Lots of bad swings against that man.
