I'm an M's fan and the team wasn't a true 89 win team. Lots of smoke and mirrors. Combine that with what was the worst farm system in baseball, Cruz as a FA and aging Cano and it would have been very hard to compete with Boston, NYY and Houston. Was the right thing to do, as painful as it will be to watch...
