There's a bracket going on to determine who's the greatest. My vote goes to Pudge. Vote here - http://www.star-telegram.com/sports/mlb/texas-rangers/article69008417.html

This poll has at least one pretty glaring oversight:

Don't need a bracket. The answer is Pudge. Now, if you want to have a contest for second, that would be fun, because we'd have to qualify years with the team vs. overall career, etc.

Went all favorites except for Greer over Bell strictly for nostalgia reasons. This was shocking to me:

quote:
Elvis Andrus: Franchise leader in stolen bases. Top-ten in hits (ninth), runs (ninth) and triples (third).
Just doesn't feel like he's been around nearly long enough for that.

The answer is clearly Odor.

He's the best 2nd baseman EVER. They're already building him a wing in Cooperstown.

I think a very solid argument could be made for Micahel Young or Juan Gonzalez.

I know... right?! Kinsler and Andrus among the Top 10s?!

Hits:
1. MYoung: 2230
2. Pudge: 1747
3. Palmeiro: 1692
4. Juan Gonzalez: 1595
5. Sierra: 1281

9. Kinz: 1145
11. Andrus: 1113

SB:
1. Andrus: 217
2. Kinsler: 172
3. Wills: 161

Games Played:

1. MYoung: 1823
2. Palmeiro: 1573
10. Andrus: 1074
11. Kinsler: 1066
24. Beltre: 732

With 150 GP in 2016, Beltre could jump to 17th.

Games Pitched: CJ Wilson is 5th @325.

Games Started:
1. Hough: 313
2. Witt: 269
3. Rogers: 252
4. Jenkins: 190
5. Kevin Brown: 186
6. Colby: 175
7. SHelling: 159
10. Holland: 138

Strikouts:
1. Hough: 1452
4. Nolan: 939
6. Colby: 860
8. Holland: 723
11. Darivsh: 680

Like Holland or not... but he could become one of the top SPs of Rangers' All-Time. He is under contract for 2016 ($10M), 2017 ($11M) & 2018 ($11.5M) at which point he'll be 31, with 2017 & 2018 being Team Options.

Say, he gets 25 GS each of the 3 seasons... 75 GS. 213 puts him 4th.

If he gets 150 SO each of the 3 seasons... 450. His 1173 would be 4th ahead of Nolan.
