Jeff's son James got his first save yesterday for the Cubbies. I didn't even know that Jeff was his dad. Also didn't know that James pitched for tu.

It pissed me off one day I was listening to the son pitch on the radio and the ESPN announcers said "he's the son of former Cubs pitcher Jeff Russell."

Russ pitched with several different teams, but never the Cubs. And he was primarily a Ranger for sure.

James is probably the best pitcher in that bullpen, although that's not saying much right now. He threw well last year for the Cubs too.
