ESPN getting rid of the only person who's brought them original/interesting content in the past decade with Grantland and the 30 for 30 series. All because he won't tow the party line.

Obviously ESPN will keep viewership, but I sincerely hope that Simmons catches on at a rival and poaches the good Grantland writers (Bill Barnwell and Zach Lowe for my tastes).

Where am I supposed to turn to now for coverage of every single Boston Celtic play of the last 30 years?

Looks like he has landed at HBO, where he will host a show, do podcasts, and produce 30 for 30ish content starting in October.

For me it's the podcasts. That was my favorite part of the daily commute, so I've really missed it.
