If I was him, I'd go back to Cleveland. Play with Irving and I think he wants to make it up to the Cleveland fans. Plus, him and Johnny could run the town.

This. How ****ing cool would this be? I've never understood the "you have people come play with you when you're the best" argument. Seems like going to play for another team, especially one that's not very good, is way more badass. What if MJ went to the Nuggets or some other team that was probably really shiity in the mid 90s instead of playing baseball? Not sure what happens but just saying that, I'm like "holy fck that's crazy", If LBJ heads to a bad team and carries them to a title, it's way more awesome than anything he's done in Miami. Of course, Miami is probably a .500 team at best without him this year so winning the title this year would be impressive. (Technically, it's still not over. Technically.) But him joining a super team a few years ago kind of takes away from how mediocre the team is now. It's still the "super team" even if it's not. I didn't think LeBron was a sellout for going to Miami a few years ago, you gotta get your titles. But that's way different than packing up your bags and heading to a worse team. Joining the Heat was not badass. Joining the Kings or Bobcats or Twolves would be. Winning a title would be epic. Even NY would be cool too since they suck so much dick right now. I wanted him yo go there back in 2010. The king in the garden every night would've been sweet.

Of course, this will never happen.

The heat team is done, they look extremely old. They have to convince Wade to opt out and take a ton less money or else LeBron really needs to take his talents elsewhere. The question is, should he stay in the east, taking the easy path to the finals. Or should he go west, where he will have to face the NBA equivalent of the sec, but his team will be stronger when they get to the finals?

In discussing the Heat, and them possibly returning to the finals, one key guy could be Oden. The goal this year was to just make it out healthy. Now if he can take a huge step and return to any kind of pre injury form, that would be huge.
And considering the rest of the guys are just old or love the weed (SuperCoolBeas), he is the only guy I see with a potential for improvement. After that, there isn't much there.


I have also heard the complaints about Heat ownership using the amnesty clause on Mike Miller. Look, if the Heat players are willing to take less than their max revenue to be there, the Heat ownership had better be willing to go into the luxury tax. I don't think they used their MLE last year either.

They either had a full mle or a partial and didn't use it to save money.

That's what happens when you have 61 of 63 million tied up in 3 players.

Oden is done. Maybe he could contribute once a week. That's it.

Heat were in luxury tax, and they don't get the full MLE in the luxury tax.

They used the MiniMLE on Battier and Ray Allen in successive years. Then only had the luxury tax MLE and used it on Toney Douglas. Lewis, Andersen, Oden and Beasley took veteran minimums.
