I think his Mom started Home Interiors. I remember seeing him and his wife at every game I ever attended. I believe he was the original owner of the team. Always seemed like a classy, humble guy. Great gesture by Cuban.

That's correct he is the original owner of the team. He was always court-side until he sold the team to David McDavid (who quickly flipped it to Cuban). He also might still own a tiny piece of the team.

Still owns a piece of Mavs. Owner of Sidekicks which were awesome indoor soccer team.

I believe he is part of recent conglomerate that bought Texas Rangers. Either that or retained a tiny minority from Eddie Chiles era.
