Don't worry about the national media focusing on what's wrong with LA instead of what Dallas is doing right.

Spurs fans have dealt with this crap forever when they won. The media picks their darling teams and the Spurs or Mavs weren't ever going to be the sexy team. Winning is all that matters.

It's not going to get any better. Next series will be all about Durant and if the Mavs somehow advance to the Finals, it will be all about Rose or Lebron/Wade.

Just enjoy the ride. F the media.

The ESPN commentators are painful to listen to. Every play is a result of Lakers brilliance or failure. They act like no consequences come out of a Mavs play.

I laughed when Gundy said during SportsCenter "Lakers have to like their chances to come back in this series"

ESPNs coverage is terrible compared to TBS.

I don't care about the respect. I'm usually making enough noise that I can't hear the announcers anyway.

But I'm getting tired of hearing about Mavericks jacking up threes. Everybody acts like they're running buck wild out there.

Why wouldn't they shoot 3 pointers? The Laker front line is fearsome. Stay away from them and play to your strength.

And the treys they are shooting are quality shots. Nobody is hoisting up bombs with 21 seconds on the shot clock. They are working ball around, probing, drawing double team, making a good pass, then making the extra pass. Then outside shooter does his job and makes the 3 pointer.

Absolutely. They are getting fantastic looks, largely thanks to the attention Dirk is drawing. If Kidd could have hit anything tonight, there would have been no need for a comeback.

I agree. The coverage has been sickening on ESPN. You would think they would try harder to woo the Dallas fan with ESiPN about to launch. That is a joke that they keep basically implying that a Laker comeback is a no brainer. (of course, with Stern at the helm, they may not be too far off base!!!!)

This series has been very easy to analyze. One team is making the extra pass on most possessions to get good looks and one team is not. One team is playing a complete team game and one team is trying to just win 5 individual matchups. (I guess if Gundy could identify that though, he could keep a coaching job for more the 3 years!!!!)

Last year when the Rangers were playing the Yankees, I wanted to kill Ernie Johnson because of his TBS telecasts. It was all about the Yankees not playing well instead of the Rangers kicking their ass. It's the same way with San Antonio or Dallas in the NBA.

I guess the east coast media just doesn't want Texas teams to succeed in anything outside of football.
