If they were behind they would. Not sure if they want the clock stopped even if it is Haywood. Don't want a chance for a quick rebound/tip-in. Waste as much clock as possible.

Yeah, I was thinking about it even a little earlier in the game when Dallas was trying to push the ball.....they should just grab Haywood. Just suprised it hasn't happened at all yet.

If the Spurs were playing Dallas, Pop would have Haywood shooting 30 times a game from the line.

Seems like a bad idea to me. Chandler can replace him and not miss a beat.

More importantly, the Mavs are awesome at free throws. Trailblazers might get Mavs into bonus. Then you have Dirk, Peja, and Kidd on the floor and Haywood on the bench. Those guys make 85%.

You might benefit in first few minutes of quarter. But you'd get hammered in last half.
