I wouldn't say they've mailed any in yet until tonight. Not sure about Pop's line of thinking with this move. My guess is he didn't want to risk a total catastrophe and have another injury. What most likely will happen is we'll come back full strength against Boston on thursday and Pop will try to close out the season strong. Betting it all on the final stretch and not gonna bother with tonight.

Spurs start Matt Bonner, Tiago Splitter, George Hill, Richard Jefferson, and Gary Neal... and Richard Jefferson is still the worst player on the floor.

Is anyone watching this game? For being on our home court, we aren't getting any damn calls. Guess that's what happens when the stars are out.
I watched a few minutes of it on NBA coast to coast and the guys are balling right now. Just took a 5 point lead after back to back steals.
Best defense they've played all year. I'm am extremely impressed, even if they don't pull it out.

Why does Pop always tinker with lineups when we are doing well? They were playing D when Green was out on the floor. He puts RJ in and everything falls apart.

Beating a dead horse I know, but it pisses me off. Big three are out. This should be a game where jefferson proves his worth (that's $9MM a year) and what does he do? 4 points 6 rebs. and 5 fouls? The guy is spineless. Possibly the worst signing in the Duncan era.
Even worse... we signed him once, had a chance to get rid of him, and then re-signed him. Crazy.

I'm not sure what his role on the team is this year besides the corner three (when he can make them) and being a huge liability on defense. Its like Pop wants him to be the next Bowen, but, well... that ain't happening.
It's really going to be painful when the Lakers take the HCA from the Spurs. Just plain no excuse for the way the bench has shown up.
The problem is, he's not utilized correctly. I love it when he drives and creates contact. But it's a Manu-Tony dominated offense and he can't really fulfill that type of roll on this team. But it is what it is.
Very true. You'd think he would have an opportunity to play his game today with all of the rest of the starters out. But like you said, he proves his $9MM/yr contract would be better if the spurs just set that money on fire.

The problem is that he's not very good at basketball anymore. He's glacially slow laterally, doesn't pay attention on defense, and constantly mistimes his jump on both offense and defense. That results in awkward shots, bricked layups, and stupid fouls.
He's Bruce Bowen with more turnovers and no defense.
And he's gay.
He started this year off really well, and TexAgs was applauding him and his off-season work with Pop.

I remember all the pre-season hype about RJ's training and work outs, etc. Looks like he's fallen back into the same suckage routine.
While I agree that RJ has been a disappointment, especially in this stretch of losses, he isn't the only player that has not shown up. The Spurs started playing poorly before the All-Star break and have gone in the tank since losing Duncan. They are a very ugly team at this point, with or without RJ.

I remember him not sucking at the beginning of the season... I haven't seen too many Spurs games this year, but did he digress to the same player as last year? I remember seeing last year's playoffs where he looked clueless on offense.
I still shake my head at the "man love" Pop has for "Brick" Bonner...

Blair has also dropped off a bit. I'm not sure whether it is showing up in his stats, but his game is off. He has not responded that well to getting pulled from the starting rotation. I still point to that as one of the things that changed before the Spurs started tanking.
