yeah that is a heck of a deal for the blazers. they and okc got a whole lot tougher.
---------------------------------------------------------- America's destiny is not of our own choosing. We did not seek nor did we provoke an assault on our freedom and our way of life. We did not expect nor did we invite a confrontation with evil. Yet the true measure of a people's strength is how they rise to master that moment when it does arrive.
So we're going to roll with Peja at starting SF? So Butler's contract is going to expire and we get nothing? So in 2 years we took a healthy Josh Howard and netted a first round exit and Deshawn Stevenson to go with Peja into the playoffs? ****. Maybe Butler will come back in time for the 3rd round and help contribute to another lost series.
I think Portland with a starting lineup of Wallace, a healthy Roy, and Aldredge will be a much tougher out for one of the top 4 playoff teams than some of these other teams dumping salaries.
I'm guessing that team vs. OKC would be an outstanding series.
I don't really know. He finally played (15-16 minutes) the other night versus the Lakers.
If he is playing (well) 30-32 minutes, then tough team. Don't think they have the center to be able to win a series. With their trades of Cunningham & Pryz, and Oden's and Camby's injuries, I'm not sure who they have to play center.
Mavs offered Butler and a 1st round pick for Tayshaun Prince. Butler and Prince and both expiring. Dumars declined. I have no idea why, Detroit should have gotten SOMETHING for him
Camby should be back soon, but look for Portland to run with Aldridge in the middle and Batum at PF. That would leave Wallace at SF, Roy at SG, and Miller at PG. That team isn't all that bad, considering that Wallace is a + rebounder for his position.
