He fills in for Sean some games. Not a joke, Sean hates the cold. So any games up North during the winter, they are getting Malik to fill in.

Yeah he is not my favorite. I like that they are rooting for the spurs, but he was almost too much of a homer.
And on another note, the spurs players are horrible actors. And the Wayne Wright commercials are probably the worst commercials I have ever seen.

how do you hate the heb commercials? also if you were watching the fs southwest broadcast, that is the spurs broadcast, so why wouldnt they pull for the spurs?
I have no problem with the homerism and if I did I wouldn't want Sean back.
I just have this thing about saying "umm" in normal conversation, let alone somebody who is getting paid to talk.

Sean usually will only travel to a few games a year, that's why he gave up his gig with ESPN. He is one of the best former players that can do color for a game.
I don't mind Malik. This is the guy's first television gig. He'll get more comfortable. I can already see an improvement. I'm not a big fan of the "umm" fillers either, but i cut him some slack. He can't be worse than Jalen Rose when he first started for ESPN. And that guy is still employed.
A month or so ago (maybe more) I think was Malik's first game to call. The first half was horrible, but by the end of the game he was getting comfortable. The last two games he has done well, but it's hard to replace Sean.
Are yall really praising Elliot's game commentary? I want to mute the tv when I watch games on FSN. He is the definition of a homer.
I have no problem with a homer on a local/regional broadcast (which is what the FSN games are) as long as they are articulate and bring something to the game.
I wouldn't consider Elliot articulate. He calls Lamar Odom, Lamar Kardashian repeatedly. Although it's funny, saying it on national tv is pretty embarrassing.
The HEB commercials are fine. Manu, Tony and tim do a good job. George and Dejuan just need to ease up a little bit when doing all of their commercials.
