could play on the same team? i just don't see their styles balancing each other out but rather conflict more than anything.

I guess Lebron plays the 3?

what i should say is that it seems like it would be difficult for two alpha males with somewhat similar playing styles play for the same team. i could see an eventual conflict of interest there.

He's always played the 3?

I don't think they would mesh perfectly, but I'd imagine you would have Lebron moving off the ball a lot more and Wade setting him up. And basically, they could take turns playing 1 on 1 every other offensive possession. Then they take an offensive possession off and rest up for the next one.

It would seem to be a pretty sweet deal, but its all a pipe dream anyway.

Wade can play off the ball, see Olympics. Lebron was the one who struggled to mesh with other super stars

So maybe, Lebron is the PG and Wade is the SG and Bosch is the PF/C?

I know it was the ASG, but they meshed pretty well together in Dallas last February.

Miami would need to either dump Beasley or each "star" would need to start at less than the max for them to team up in Miami.

Assuming they dump Beasley, and can get the big 3, the team looks like:

Chalmers
Wade
LeBron/Butler(2)/Williams(2)
Bosh/Varnado(2)
Pittman(2)

(2) indicates 2010 2nd round picks.

That team has a LOT of holes in it. No real low post presence, no 3 pt shooting, no depth.

The big 3 in Boston were great, but they also had talent like Perkins at Center (Not a great offensive talent, but a defensive presence) and Rondo as a developing star at the PG spot. They also had niche role-players like Eddie House and others when they won the chip.

The Heat would need to get really lucky and have some good vets take the minimum for them to fill out the roster.

That said, I'm sure it would either work amazingly, or end up as the most pleasant disaster to watch. Either way, would be fun.

The difference is Allen, Garnett, and Pierce were at the tail-end or already past their primes.

The potential Miami trio have just entered or are in the middle of the prime years. If LeBron can take a group of scrubs to the Finals (albeit in a weak year), I think he'll do a little better with Bosh and Wade at his side.

I see them having problems with the Lakers and their inside height. And that's only if Bynum is healthy.

Yeah, they don't have much at center and they need several players who can shoot the 3 and defend.

Those guys are both unselfish, they will both pass the ball. I don't think it would be a problem at all.

That team is not going to dominate.

It's not the fact that they are selfish, it's just that they may not have good chemistry. Look at that uber-talented 2004 Olympic team that got 6th at the Olympics -- they had talented players, but no chemistry. It was a bunch of guys that dominate the ball. In the last olympics, guys like Carmelo and Kobe were the stars because they don't need the ball in their hands to make a difference on offense. Lebron and Wade have primarily been ball-handlers the last few years, although Wade to a lesser extend than Lebron. Look at the Celtics -- they had 3 superstars join a pile of crap when they were put together, but they seemed to fit well. Ray Allen doesn't step on Paul Pierce's shoes and both work well with Garnett.
