Well since WC was announced to be here I thought I'd go to a game but foolishly thought prices would come done with all the bad publicity leading to start of cup. Of course it's been quite the opposite and looks like we will miss another World Cup lol(we actually talked about going to the cup when it was in Brazil back then.). REALLY disappointed with myself for being such a cheap-o and it bit me in the butt this time. Anyhow, the game in Dallas tomorrow is my last chance to experience some of this so where are the good fan experiences going on in the metroplex area? All I'm seeing is Fairpark and as I'm coming from the Abilene area I really hate to go all the way over there. Was hoping for something around the stadium or in Fort Worth so have any of y'all got recommendations on where to enjoy the experience and watch the game if I head that way tomorrow

I would go to Texas Live by the stadium and just hang out there if you want to experience match day. It will be swarming with fans, international and not.

And who knows, maybe you'll get lucky and find a ticket close to game time.

Now is that a fan zone that's been set up or is that a venue nearby?

Just looked it up and yes, that's exactly what I was hoping for around there probably. Have not been up there since the new Ranger Stadium was being constructed so it was unaware of that place and if it's been there since before, I was still unaware of it lol

Welp, let me just finish up this "dear diary" sad story… I was fixing to leave out here in a few minutes to head to this Texas live near the stadium and was looking up directions and noticed you had to have tickets. I was like well that's crazy. I'll look it up. That's sold out too! I guess I've just totally screwed the whole moment up.

Prices on secondary markets were down a lot in April and early May, especially for group stages and early knockouts. At one point, you could've gotten R32 in Dallas for around $400 per. It wasn't unreasonable to think that prices might continue to fall.

Ignore me. I didn't see your mention of something around the stadium or FW.

Texas Live is paid to get in but there's a free fan experience right outside the Texas Live in the hotel atrium area. They've had multiple bars and a big screen for the watch party set up. It was a gathering point for 3-4 hours leading up to the games at AT&T for the 2 games I went to. Totally unsure if they'll still be hosting it now that there are no more games at AT&T though.
