Well, he did help with the Europa league requirements of club-trained players. I think we had him, Brandon Austin, and Alfie Whiteman on that list, of which 4 are required. I'm not sure if they can move Mikey Moore over to that list, but even so would still need 1 more. I read Lankshear, Donley, and Devine are probably going out on loan, but Skipp's move may mean one of those need to stay, correct? Or they sign a former player who was club trained, like Marcus Edwards or Kyle Walker-Peters? Or just don't carry a full squad of 25 players for the Europa league? Too many rules to keep up with.

Probably just don't carry a full squad. I'm not sure it makes sense to sign someone you don't intend to play just to have a full 25 man squad. Only 16 can play a game so only having 24 probably isn't the worst thing.

I must say I am excited to see some of the faces this afternoon. I am also hoping Maddison returns to form. He looked so good in the first half of last season. I think having Solanke up front should really help.

Roma (h), Rangers (a), AZ Alkmaar (h), Ferencvaros (a), Qarabag (h), Galatasaray (a), Elfsborg (h) and Hoffenheim (a).

Would be nice to get out of Turkey without a player getting concussed by thrown objects from the stands. Should do well in this stage though.
