Unless Miss St missed their PK as well. I read his comment as Bama missed all their attempts. Miss St would have only had to have made 2 kicks to advance

it went

1st kick - Bama missed, MSU made

2nd kick - both missed

3rd kick - bama missed, MSU made

4th kick - bama missed, ~~MSU made and advanced~~

Only change is MSU didn't kick in the 4th because they had clinched after the Bama miss.

I don't follow closely, so sorry for this likely stupid question, but I'm not quite understanding why Georgia (4-3-3) is the SEC East champs and #2 overall seed instead of South Carolina (5-0-5) who is the #3 seed we just knocked off? By their records, it seems like SC should have been the East champs and #2 seed?

Not complaining, just trying to understand.

Only matches played against division opponents count in the divisional standings. Georgia earned more points than South Carolina among those matches.

The MSU goalie couldn't believe they missed again, she didn't really know how to react, I think her teammates going crazy she realized they had advanced
