Tennessee is 15 in the RPI but if the season ended today they would not be in the SEC Tournament. The RPI of our upcoming opponents is:

In general, about 1/4 of the field are automatic bids for teams that wouldn't be in the tournament if it were just the 64 best teams. That means you want to be in the top 48 RPI, but RPI isn't the only factor so you want to get in the top 40 to be safe.
