Aggie Soccer looks to get back on track this week, during that magical event known as the Fish Camp game.
The Aggies will face Baylor on Saturday at 8PM in what should be a sold out Ellis Field. This game was originally scheduled for 7:00, but was pushed an hour in hopes the temps will drop below 100 by kickoff.
The game will broadcast live on SEC+ and the audio will be available on the 12thMan App (if you can keep the app from crashing).
As you might remember, the Aggies have quite a history with Baylor and a load of bad blood. However, this series has been pretty one sided, with A&M leading the series 14-4-2. The last match between these two sides came in 2013. That game finished in a 0-0 tie, but it started with a seemingly intentional injury of Aggie soccer star and American Olympian, Annie Kunz. It was Baylor soccer doing typical Baylor soccer things and many fans said "good riddance" to the team from Waco and hoped we'd never face them again. But here they are, back on the schedule. A&M also played Baylor in a spring exhibition earlier this year.
This is a must win for many reasons and A&M should be the clear favorite to win. Baylor is 1-1 on the season, having played away games at Oregon and at Nebraska. They opened with a 2-0 win at Oregon and then lost 1-2 at Nebraska.
