My son, '26, has been driving this pickup while in school. He has just bought himself a newer truck and the Mrs. and I are ready to part ways with this one. 179,000 miles, good tires, just needs a new owner. It's currently in Denver but we can make arrangements to meet or deliver perhaps.

Man, those pics take me back 30 years. Had many a good times in trucks just like that with my buddies. If I had the disposable income, I would buy that as just a running around town truck.

2. Text came from a 225 Louisiana area code, truck is in Denver, and your address is in Washington and def aounds a little strange being addressed as "mate"?

Edited to add #3 - phone number shows up as a possible scammer number on a user forum I found.

I apologize and dont mean to offend but I am leary of wiring $5,000 to someone whonis a stranger site unseen and hoping it shows up.

If we can clear some things up I am still a buyer.

Edit #2 to add - I would offer the following as a possible solution. If we could get a third party established user, maybe someone like maddiedou (if he'd be willing) to hold the funds until the truck arrives I would feel comfortable giving him my money to hold and transfer to you upon delivery.

Anytime you post your number you have to beware of scammers. Is the number the same as the number in the linked post? Even if it's not, it's still the same area code where they likely spoof or have multiple numbers.

Meanwhile I'm working with another user through PMs who is in first place. I'll let you know. Either way, I won't take a wire anyway. We can work that out when and if the time comes.

I can vouch that there is plenty of room in that back seat.

About 2 weeks ago there was a yeti hauler on here and said I was interested if they ever made it to San Antonio. Immediately got a text from my "mate" with a 225 area code. Super fishy texts and I didn't even leave a number on that post. I have posted my number here before so I guess they dug thru some 5 year old posts.

That's crazy. Can't believe scammers don't have better things to do.

Had similar experience with a scammer a few months ago as well. Def have to cross post on here and say email or text sent.

Scammers are here and will try to take your money. Got hit up by one 5 months ago.
