Looking for an A400 and jumping into clay shooting. Was at a tournament this past week and thought it was a hell of a time and want to get more involved. General consensus here says A400 is a solid option, expensive, but solid.

Anyone have a used one they are looking to get rid of or know of any deals out there?

Probably not the gauge you want, but here is a used A400 in 28.

Consider a brand new Winchester SX4. Fantastic value.

I'm in College Station and can get you a price on a new one if you decide to go that route.

Joel Etchen in PA has a few used ones available. They most likely have a lot of new ones in stock as well. I have purchased quite a few guns from them. Talk to Matt up there, he will get you fixed up. Also, move quick, their used guns go quickly.

Personally, I would look for an over/under. You will be happy over the long term. If you're patient, you can get a Browning O/U for a similar or lower price. If you are looking at sporting clays that will give you the ability to use two chokes rather than 1. Enjoy the sport whatever you choose, it's a great one.

I'll probably sell my Beretta long barrel clay gun soon. Just not shooting clays anymore.

Not much more than your autoloader. Beretta quit making this model, but was a popular competition gun in the 90s

I have an A400 and a O/U Citori 725 Sporting

The A400 is for shooting game. I replaced the recoil pad for the first time yesterday and probably have 500 doves and 500 clays shot with it. It's an absolute work horse

The Citori 725 Sporting is for clays and skeet.

I shoot better with the Citori 725 Sporting but would NEVER take it out in the field. It would be like wearing a very nice watch and doing an oil change.

I have a Citori 725 with a 32" barrel, if you decide you want to go the O/U route. It also has a adjustable recoil/butt pad system. I might have it in the classifieds later today.
