Edit 1/29/24:
I have received some helpful constructive criticism/feedback from a few different people that I may have "missed the mark" a little bit with the design of the wooden legs for this project, and they just aren't what people want right now. I really wanted to keep this project all wood construction to stay true to my woodworking heart, but I think I'm finally going to give in and accept that the market wants metal legs. They are very popular right now and I get it. I have two other tables I built for myself personally that are on metal legs. So if the market wants metal legs, I'm going to give the market metal legs.
Therefore, I am willing to remove the wooden legs and install some metal legs for the same price I currently have it listed at.
Here's the cool part.... If I can get a committed buyer, we can make this a semi custom build and I will let them choose the legs. Not only does that mean they can choose from a few different styles of metal legs (squares, H's X's, etc.), but they can also choose the height. By changing the height of the legs, the table could actually have different uses. I obviously think this slab would make a great desk since that's what I built it into, but I also think it would make a great coffee table. A little on the larger size for a coffee table, but definitely still in acceptable size range for a coffee table. All that means is using shorter legs to make it coffee table height. So depending on what a buyer wants, it could be either one.
Also, if you want it to remain a desk, I can do either fixed height legs at normal sitting height, fixed height legs at standing height, or we could even talk about putting it on an adjustable height base for sitting and standing (but that will increase the cost a little bit).
If anything mentioned above interests you, contact me and I would love to talk about options with you.
For Sale: Live edge Pecan slab desk. This is the last Pecan slab I had left from the group of slabs I bought from a fellow TexAgger. The legs are made from hard Maple and Cherry. The legs are pretty clean and simple, because I didn't want to take away from the unique shape and grain pattern of the slab on top.
Dimensions: The thinner end is 31" wide, the wider end is 35" wide, and it is 65" long. Standard desk height.
The slab has threaded inserts embedded into it, which the legs are bolted into, so the legs are easily removable for transporting, storage, etc.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask.
Location: Houston (Katy)
Price: asking $2000. Price includes delivery and setup anywhere within ~2 hours of Houston.

Warning, Lots of pictures:
Please don't judge me for my crappy fake leather office chair that's peeling, haha, but its all I have and I wanted to show some pictures with an office chair to give a better idea of size and how a chair fits at the desk.
