Just making sure you know that considering the sales tax calculation on the new truck that you have to get 6% more than what dealer offered on trade to break even with trading to dealer. A number of young folks do not realize this.

Other consideration is any liability after selling a deleted truck to a private individual. They can get a multi thousand dollar fine and then come after you. If dealer buys…..much less liability the deletion. Of course, a lot of dealers won't take a deleted truck in trade for that reason.

Hey - no offense taken at your post there Harley - I did know about the tax implication and I have considered the difference in what I was hoping to get in a sale vs trade (I love doing spreadsheets for this kind of stuff).

I'm not sure though where the idea that my truck had the DEF deleted - it does not. It's all still factory as it was when I got it with regard to the DEF.

All of that being said - an agreement has been reached with one of the Ags on the board here to sell it.

Oh my goodness……I'm sorry, I got in the middle of the post and thought I was posting about the 2006 a guy has for sale with a deleted 6.0. I apologize.

I just traded in my 2017 super duty with a 6.7 on a 2022 with the same 6.7 but with the ten speed transmission. (12 months after ordering). I've always liked the 6.7….but the ten speed addition is fantastic. Just pulled out to Vegas and back with a horse trailer (about 2,200 round trip)…..and man what a difference.

I am picking up a 23 F350 from reproag in Brenham on Saturday. Excited about the 10 speed… among other things.

I don't know how long you waited for your order, but mine was just under 12 months. During that 12 months, Ford increased the sticker (and invoice) by $3,600. However, Ford provides "price protection payments " to dealers once a unit is ordered. My dealer cut me a check for $3,650 once he got his price protection payment from Ford on my unit. Of course, your dealer could also just not pass along their cost increase in the first place and just retain the payment from Ford when it arrives.

My dealer said it was done that way because Ford's price protection payment calculations are often hard to do. Would have preferred they just not pass it along and keep the check from Ford and my sales tax would have been $180 less.

I guess I got lucky - I ordered on 10/28/22 - the day after the MY23 order banks opened up. I must've received good guidance from reproag and avoided some of the features that cause delays.
