Regional weekend in College Station was awesome and it looks like the Chevy is sold. The Jeep J10 is still available.

I spent half the weekend working on the jeep and listening to the baseball games. I found the Ignition switch was burnt out due to a melted wire. Got the switch on order from RockAuto and mostly done replacing the shorted wires. Still waiting on a new wiring harness that's on backorder but I should have video of it running in a week or so when I get in the parts. It would start, it just wouldn't stay running when I let go of the key.

Here's some pics and video from a year ago when I bought it.

The Jeep is on the mend, now I have to put the steering wheel back on, and get the dash back together. Or you could buy it for cheaper now and do it!!

I'll be coming to college station the weekend of June 3rd (to watch the regional). I have two vehicles I need to sell if anyone is interested and in the area I could tow one down with me. Hell if you want both if figure out how to get them both down there.

First is a 2007 Chevy 2500

Looks like the Chevy is going to a good home. The Jeep J10 still remains. I received the wiring harness in this week. If I have to put more time/money into getting a he wiring redone I'm going to raise the price.

Make me a reasonable offer on it. I can send more detailed pics if needed. Just shoot me an email

Mine is a steal compared to that one. Buy mine and turn it into a better looking version of this one.

I'm willing to negotiate the price some. My bottom line price right now is $15,500. That's pretty much what I've got into it right now. Minus the 300 and something dollars I just spent on the wiring harness. So if you want it this weekend that's what it's going to take.

OP, truck looks great and with the right buyer and resources it will be a gem.

I had a 78 Cherokee Chief as my first vehicle in HS, and a friend had a 82? J10 Laredo. Absolute BEASTS off road for the time with trucks. 4wd lever under the edge of the seat and Quadra Trac vacuum lock for all 4rs with the switch in the center mount glove box.

Got caught on the back side of the deer lease across a dry creek on the low side that was starting to flow a bit after a big norther came in during deer season. My dad had walked down to the creek (in was dark already and POURING) and was wondering how I was gonna cross on foot thinking we were going to walk 2 1/2 miles back to camp. "I saw you stop, back up, and the Chief's headlights jump a little (when I locked it all in), then vrooom and hear you came..." I hammered it with it locked in and the Quadra Trac. It was a rough ride down and up the high side and the front end was airborne a good bit when I breached according to Dad. I was surprised I kept control, really. When we got back to camp the group knew where I had been hunting when the storms hit and were about to come get us when we drove into camp. No one thought we'd get it back across for a week or so.

Will never forget the look on Dad's face when he got in. We were both giddy at what the vehicle was capable of, and what had been pulled off.

Too bad those rear fenders and quarter panels were rust pastures. Grew it like fertile fields a farmer would be proud of.

"Green" is the new RED.

Sarge thanks for that story. I had an 88 Comanche right out of high school, had the 4.0 straight six in it. Thing would go anywhere. Only got it stuck one time and that was in the middle of a semi dried up pond near Madison high school in San Antonio. I refused to walk the few miles home to get my dad to pull me out. Waited long enough and along came a Jeep CJ7 and pulled me right out.

I'd love to keep this one, but I have a 1978 FJ 55 Landcruiser that I'm picking up from the shop Friday and I'm out of room in the garage.

I guess I could build a bigger barn.
