everyone keeps referring to?

our game vs TSU. Someone claimed to have spoken with the Fish Pong Manager and he told them that it was being rescheduled for the Wednesday/Thursday night at 6:30 instead of when it was originally slated to be played.


I think this is accurate, but not 100% sure.

On a lighter topic...the rescheduling of the Texas State game last year because of Hurricane Rita, he was the first to post the actual time and date for the game. He got some healthy "skepticism" from fellow posters, but in the end got the last laugh.

Somewhat of a TexAgs legend.

I seem to remember that he was posting as fishpond manager/maintainer and that made it even funnier.

I seem to remember that my brain was once as sharp as a steel trap, but I am not even sure of that anymore.

Nope, it was some other guy that said the guy who maintains the fish pond said that the game would be moved.

After that is when fish pond manager the screenname appeared because of the cult status of that thread.

I will have to defer to those with better memories. I still can't find the link.

The original post was from a guy that heard a rumor from the Fish Pond Maintainer, the actual fish pond maintainer, not a TexAgs Identity

Actually, he's highly intelligent and holds two degrees from A&M. He started the name as a joke and then just kept it. He's never said that he was actually the guy that broke the news.

Hmm, I didn't realize that the term "Fish Pond Manager" was actually used before the term "Fish Pond Maintainer".

However, I still feel the proper term to use for the person with the inside info is Maintainer, since the guy who "maintains the fish pond" is not necessarily the "Fish Pond Manager".

The Manager is who would set the schedule for when the fountain is on, and when it is maintained. The Manager is the Maintainer's boss, and as I recall the Maintainer bangs the boss' wife on a regular basis. I think that has come up in a thread before...

If you must know, I registered the name just after that thread was posted.

I started a thread titled "The game will be played...". The message was "eventually." It was deleted in seconds and earned me an immediate weeklong ban.

Then it just kind of stuck.

Oh, and "texaggie2007" is the pinnacle of originality.

History week on TexAgs. I have to remember that any of my posts could come back to haunt me in the future...not that any have, but...
