It was just said (caller) that tommorrow Richard Justice in the Houston Chronicle will have an article on Texas' involvement in exposing the OU deal and may have something on bad things going on at Texas.

It was a caller who made this claim. The hosts just said they called Richard Justice and it was complete B.S. Figures.

WWLS is now saying it probably isn't true ... but they are saying this could go down the road of the old SWC of schools pointing the finger and another. They do thin the next 6 months could be intersting as the NCAA starts casting it's eye around in these (Big-12) parts.

He's a joke in the Houston Chronicle. He took credit for the Astros going to the World Series...said it was his negative press that motivated them...

Good point. I think a lot of people out there fail to realize that the NCAA has yet to weigh in on this. It was probably a disgruntled mechanic at the dealership.

Although Justice is a 'sip, he does not view the world through burned-up orange glasses. He's one of the most respected columnists in the country. And, he never took credit for the 'stros success last year. He's stated on many occasions that to think that the 'stros responded to a columnist is preposterous.

If Justice piece is true, this does not pan out good for any school in the 12-south. This busines of "they did it to" will escelate, and drive Texas to point fingers at ATM and all other brethren. OK is really going to drag the Big-12 down alot with this stuff.

Remember that most columnists would sell their mothers into white slavery for a story. So, I doubt if his tu affiliation would hold him back. That said, I'm confident that there is absolutely nothing to any of this. tu is as close to bulletproof as an institution can get as long as Dodds is running the show.

Doesn't this remind you of the early stages of the unraveling of the good old SWC? A policy of MAD (mutually assured destruction) benefits no one in the long run.

Seriously, tu would have quietly let the NCAA know. Why would they tell OU, thus giving OU a good chance at avoiding serious sanctions?

Later on the show they called Richard Justice with the Chronicle and he didn't know anything about the alleged story at tu.

stop saying "i'd rather beat them while they were at full strength, not rattled by scandals". they got that good b/c they CHEATED. they should be brought back down. do you think tu apologizes for beating us and OU while we were down last year? no, they got a NC and were not challenged as much by their top two competitors in conference.
