Some people have claimed BooBoo was a poor yell leader, so I was just curious why a negative opinion propagates among some people?

1. Some people think any non-reg is a crappy yell leader.
2. He was too fat to run or do all the required push-ups.

09. You have no idea whether he had the grades or not unless you were around at that time. Officially he didn't have the grades, but once the coordinator and elections committee screwed up they took the right action.

He earned the grades to be there, otherwise he would have been ineligible and not been able to participate.

But let your fifth-hand stories continue to propagate.

I liked him OK...what makes a good or bad yell leader anyway? I mean, be enthusiastic and lead the darn yells....

It's not like a good or bad president or congressman or something.

Boo Boo lived in my H-Ramp with me when I was in Walton. No one deserved to be a yell leader more than he did. He had as much Aggie spirit and pride than anyone I ever knew.

The fact that he was able to be yell leader as a non-reg tells me that he deserved more than most. The ability to unite the entire North Side behind one non-reg candidate was amzing. The corps candidate for the third senior yell spot that year was a tool, so that helped.

I don't think anyone can say that he didn't deserve it. He overcame huge obsticles that won't be done again for a long time. He wasn't the typical yell leader, and that was great to see.

I am very proud to have been there to vote in Boo Boo. He was the non-typical yell leader in more ways than different skin color and non-reg status. Thought he was more like me than any other yell leader....and no I'm not overweight. Guess I liked him most cuz he was non-reg...no offense cadets.
Ran across him on campus near Northgate during the summer sessions. If he was lacking on the academics side, it seemed like he was trying to make it right. I think thats why some didn't like him as much.
"Not the run of the mill cuz for the mill he don't run!" Guess that's what made him liked and disliked.

He was a non-reg and didn't have the years of dedication that allows him to "spirit fingers" better than anyone else.

Boo boo was the sh*t. Who said he was a bad yell leader? Everyone I knew loved him. He had more enthusiasm and spirit than most other yell leaders I've seen.

i too lived with boo boo in H-ramp. Great Aggie. He had to work really hard to win that campaign, and he did and deserved it.
