Negative thinking like that does nothing for us. The sips winning a NC is not the end all that people like you believe it is. Does it sting? Hell yeah. But it's impact won't be as big as some think.

Not only no but hell no. I'll be 50 before we go to a bcs bowl and I'm 22 now. Let's face it. We have a third rate athletic program that will never go anywhere for a long while to come. We have the money to compete with the best but we never will. Until we get over the obsession with Texas, we will never get out of the big 12 basement.

With so many bowls, anybody with a winning record and a pulse gets one. 11 of the top 20 teams in 1990 by my count had four or more losses in 2005.

I never knew we had so many whining vaginas for fans until this season. Aren't some of you embarrassed even a little bit about the nonsense you write here?

with the depth of recruiting in the state of Texas, we could easily have our own MNC chance within 5 years.

This has to get the award for the dumbest comment on this board in awhile, and there have been some really stupid comments.

Yes our football program is down, but overall the athletic department is in great shape and getting better everyday. He says he is 22 and it wont turn around before he is 50. Well I'm 52 and have seen every sport at basicall every university go through multiple cycles of good to bad to good. All these statements that we will be down fior 10 years or 20 years or more are just a load of crap with no basis in truth whatsoever. However if you want a football program to be down for 10 years or more, change coaches every 2 to 3 years. That will certainly do it.

There are so many little things that can turn a program around that any program could be in such dire straights that it would take that long for someone to "turn it around." (unless put on probation etc)

That being said - with the facilities the Aggies have and the administration committed to winning it is only a matter of coaching, players, and chemistry.

Fir example - Football being a game of inches is true and in 2002 A&M was inches, coaching, and chemistry away from being a very, very good team. If Sumlin starts the year at OC, and Ty Warren isn't banged up those losses by inches at Missouri and OSU would have been victories. Then remember the TT game where we couldn't make an extra point after we put a ton of points on them to start the game!

I guess the biggest thing is coaching - a good coaching staff may not be able to take a losing program and turn it around in a year...But you should see steady improvement...if you don't see staedy improvement year to year there is a problem IMO.

Yes we suck, maybe for awhile, but when you are willing to pay 2 mil a year for a head coach, it wont be for long.
