Academy to get your tu MNC tshirts yet?

Since we all know that cheering for a team from the state of Texas when our team isn't playing automatically makes those people t-shirt fans of the other team....All of you complaining about Ag's cheering for Sips need to just get over yourslves and start getting ready for next year when we field what could be an excellent offense with McGee and Lane

i'll go to academy when the aggies have won the mnc.

good grief, just because we were rooting for texas to win doesn't mean we're burning our maroon and heading over to austin. i'd much rather a texas team have the championship than those nutty californians again.

For some people, it is about sportsmanship and class. Also, I am a Texan first. If Rice, SMU, TCU, Baylor, Tech, TX ect were playing for a national title, I would cheer for them as well (especially against a California school that thinks they have better high school football). Everyone needs to get over themselves.

Why do those of you that rooted for t.u. keep playing the "I'm a Texan first" card? Their football team wasn't fighting Santa Anna at the Alamo.

The football team from t.u. was playing the football team from USC. They represent that 40 acres in Austin and not the state of Texas.

I hate that school and will never pull for them in any sporting event. If their football team flies over to Afghanistan to hunt down Bin Laden, then yes, I will be on their side.

Quit acting like those of us that pulled for USC are bad Texans. It's a stupid argument.

what the hell are you talking about? they represented texas last night like we represented the state in the sugar bowl vs. tosu.

if tech was playing last night, THEY would have been representing texas.

The fact of the matter is that one of the things that makes us Aggies is our hatred for tu. Don't get me wrong it's not like we wish ill will upon the individuals...I don't understand this let's go hug a sip, they represent the state of Texas junk. Think about it, even our War Hymn is all about our dislike for tu. That is A&M.

Last time I checked that wasn't an essay question on the admissions application to get in. The obsession with texas is a little extreme, if we would worry about ourselves and not someone else for a while, we might get somewhere.

Worrying about A&M and hating t.u. aren't mutually exclusive. We can do both. I know I do. Just because I hate t.u. doesn't mean that I'm not focused on supporting A&M and our athletics.

tu doesn't and never will represent me. This state is going to be hard to live in for the next few months, for us aggies, with greater than normal levels of arrogance comming from t-sips. oh yeah and by the way quit picking on bubba.

Blah, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah blah...

I can't wait for the other 30,000 threads on this same effin' topic between now and September.
