Agree!!! I live in Austin as well. I listened to the Aggie Band this morning on the way to work.

I live in NoCal and leading up to the game told everyone out here that I wanted tu to win. After the game was over and ABC interviewed Vince Young I told my wife that I was feeling sick to my stomach. She said, "well it could be worse". I responded with "Nothing could be worse".

I don't know how to sleep, I only know how to pass out.

I lived in Fresno for 2 years and vomited every time someone would ask me "did u go to texas?"

I still get that here in NoCal - "You must be excited, your team is in the NC"

I agree. Exactly what is the Austin media doing with so much coverage. The nerve of them spending so much time covering the city's biggest sporting event ever that just happens to involve a hometown university with 50k students and thousands of alums in the viewing area. What are THEY thinking?

If you don't define being an Aggie as hating UT, it's entirely possible to live in Austin and support UT in the title game. The pure joy that my family, friends, and co-workers are experiencing right now trumps any "I hate tu" Aggie obsession. Congrats, horns!

I'm just not a very hateful person, I guess. I haven't been able to villain-ize the horns the way others have. While I was in school, they were evil Satan but I've grown past that way of thinking.

Saying we should root for Texas because we're all Texans is a stupid argument. We are rivals. We don't like eachother. They are hippies and we're farmers and that's the way it'll always be. I have a love for MY school, not theirs. I hate t.u. with all the maroon blood that boils in my veins and certainly, won't root for them to win a title! With that logic, obviously I should root for both A&M and t.u. in the Lone Star Showdown, cause we're all Texans, it doesnt matter who wins. I'm sure the highschool players feel that way too, hey, it's all Texas. Or heck, I'll root for all teams because hey, WE'RE ALL AMERICANS.

Just cause I'm a fish doesn't mean I dont have ol' army attitude. I hate t.u. and I love everything about the school. I go to every game and next year will be in the Corps. I consider myself ol' army not in the sense of my age, but how I feel about the best University in the country.
