As I remember it we were, but pulled off when Reggie committed. I guess that was a mistake now. But, VY was a heavy florida team lean (FSU, Miami) early on and Mack talked him into going there. At the time VY was risky because dispite his tallent he was know as a problem child and even picked a fight with his HS coach at one of their games. Reggie was know for leadership. I guess they traded roles in college.
