After watching the Maryland game today I came away with some mixed feelings, but overall, I fealt pretty good about our teams future. I noticed 2 key factors in todays game that were very different from our game a week ago. First, Maryland was a lot more aggressive defensively. This limited the 12 play drives where Clemson marched down the field and kicked a 30 yard field goal. Instead, it was all or nothing for Clemson on offense scoring 4 touchdowns with several big plays that they couldnt seem to find against the aggie's conservative play calling on defense. Second, Clemson did not come close to repeating their near perfect performance execution wise. They had fumbles and mistakes everywhere. It was a lot sloppier on the Clemson side of the ball this week than last week against us. Some of that can be attributed to Marylands pressure and playing on the road, and part of it can just be attributed to them being very well prepared and maybe getting a little lucky against us 1 week ago.

Thoughts?

It's pretty basic to me... despite our missed tackles on the defensive end, eliminate a couple mental miscues by the offense and we win by at least 12.

1. DeQwan hangs on to JCarter's pass
2. Joey Thomas doesn't Hold/get called for holding.
3. Reggie hits a wide open Chad Schroeder instead of throwing an INT.

It sucks, but it isn't as doom and gloom as some think. We are going to get it together.
