We probably sent him letters before his legal troubles, which occurred in January. I doubt he is getting much play from anyone right now.

The article goes on to say that B. Jackson is receiving fewer recruiting letters since his arrest, but that K State had recently sent him a letter in July. I'm pretty sure that our interest in him, along with the other schools mentioned, was before his arrest.
