Great Movie. I've seen it many times, but it never gets old. I was in West Lafayette, IN (where Purdue is) once and got to walk on the field. Pretty cool stadium...kinda small. I was thinking at some point, I might go to South Bend (Norte Dame) to catch a game, just to say i've been there.

Where else have you watched a college football game? And how does it/does it not compare to Aggie football at Kyle field?

DRK Memorial Doak Walker is actually a great place to watch anyone other than A&M vs t.u.

OU can be fun, and Tech is dangerous.

I have been to the Swamp...it's not all that swampy, but loud as hell and a fun environment.

I have been to the Big House, but don't tell my dad..hahahahaha!

I have been to the grandaddy of them all (The Rose) and it's a lot bigger in person than on tv.

We went to Notre Dame in 2001; it was sort of disappointing. Very quiet crowd. Nice stadium, but couldn't hear the Notre Dame band playing the Notre Dame Victory March which was the best part.

Other than Kyle Field the best football atmosphere in America that I have seen is Tiger Stadium at LSU. OU is just generic college football. I imagine Arkansas is pretty unique. TT is horrible, CU is a zero, except for Ralphie. There are still two or three I would like to see, such as Florida, Tennessee, Ohio State, and maybe USC, just for crowd watching. The pregame at USC cannot be much since USC is located in Watts and doesn't even have a stadium. They play in the old rundown LA Coliseum, kind of like that other renegade program, Miami, who also has no stadium of its own.

I'd have to agree that the game-time spirit at Notre Dame was no different than say... K-State. Good fan support, but nothing special or awe-inspiring like Kyle. But the campus is gorgeous... almost worth a trip just to check it out.

Since we're on the topic, here's how I'd rank the overall football atmosphere of schools in the Big 12 South (and where I'd put Notre Dame on the list):

1) Texas A&M
2) t.u.
3) OSU (ND - as sad as that may seem)
4) OU
5) tek
6) BU

At some point I wanna go to Nebraska since I didn't get to go during my time as a BQ.

I have been to the swamp twice, UF vs. MIAMI and also UF vs. LSU and I will say that it was pretty damn fun, had a great time. Also the swamp got VERY LOUD. Runs a tight race with KYLE FIELD.

Other than it's old, Rice Stadium is one of my favorite venues. It's a beautifully designed stadium.

Spent most games growing up either at Vaught-Hemingway (Ole Miss) and some trips to Neyland (UT)...

Neyland is one of the most amazing college football atmospheres. Right on the river, tailgating on the boats, tailgating in the streets. 100k+ fans. Rocky Top ... it's insane.

Ole Miss has one of the best pre-game traditions with The Grove. I have a soft spot for Vaught-Hemingway just b/c I grew up on Rebel football. Seeing The Grove and hearing the band play "Dixie" is reason enough to make a trek out to Oxford.

Other awesome venues --

"Between the Hedges." UGA has really friendly fans, too.

Bryant-Denny Stadium is impressive, pretty cordial fans.

and of course, The Swamp.

I'm not a fan of Tiger Stadium -- those fans are god-awful. If you ever go there, do not wear opposing fan gear or make eye contact with them cajuns. And if Ole Miss' kicker hadn't missed one of his 3-missed FG's 2 years ago -- we would've been in the SEC championship instead of LSU...

By far the most fun stadium that I played in was LSU's. During the game they hate your living soul. Thye put Mike the Tiger in front of the visitors dressing room exi. He was bouncing off the inside of the cage when we exited the dressing and scared the living SH*T out of some of the guys. BUT it was the only place where the the fans are directly behind the benches. It Is the only place that we were EVER offered Beer and mixed drinks during a game. It was insane. After it was over, there were three big RV's Parked across the street from the buses. There was tables covered in food and they came an offered it to us. We had the best after game meal ever. They have great fans.

I have posted this before and I will post it again. You only think you have seen good looking women, if you have never been to Ole Miss. Oh and the Grove is nice too.

I have been to Ross Ade (Purdue) before their renovation. I did not like it much.

Colorado (Boulder) plays in an outdated stadium, but has a great view of the mountains.

Haha -- that was one of the reasons I was skeptic about breaking family tradition and heading out to Texas for college. Although, I will say the girls at SMU are just as beautiful. However, as hard as it may seem, they are even higher maintenance than Ole Miss ladies.

And if you're not an SEC team, Tiger Stadium is fine. If you are in conference with them, they throw bottles at you, your team, your car, your kids -- evil Cajuns. Especially if you win.

The view at BYU's stadium was awesome...although the stadium was small, and was almost empty since school wasn't in session yet (1996). Not quite as good a view as CU, but at least their fans aren't horrible.
LSU is awesome...I don't care what all the scared folks around here say about them. (BRING BACK THE LSU SERIES).
I too was disappointed with Notre Dame. Campus was beautiful, but nothing special abou the stadium, and the fans were more like NFL fans rather than college...
Arkansas...just as bad as Tech, if not worse, if you can believe it. Doesn't matter whether it's in Fayetteville or Big Rock City.
K-State HAS to have the "Second friendliest" fans that I have seen, and they are die hard loyal, and travel everywhere... You'll see more K-State fans at Kyle than any other fans except sips or Techtards.
