Howdy,

I have never been to Lubbock, Texas. I hear that on the Tech campus there is a statue of a horse to which the ass end points towards College Station.

What is the significance of this?

Is it so us Aggies can look at that direction, see the ASS, and think that only horses asses live in Lubbock? Was this supposed to be a joke, because I don't get it. Seems like Lubbock is advertising that it is a horses ass. Help me understand. Thanks.

Texas is full of Horses Ass and they all seem to live in Lubbuck. Although they do have a Jackass in Lubbock, Mike Leach!!!!!!!!!!

its an inferiority complex. They tell guests its because we're rivals. Of course I was in 8th grade last time I was on that campus, so they may have changed their tune, most likely for the worse.

I took my daughter to look at the campus. I know, what was I thinking. She didn't like it anyway.

During the tour they took us by the statue. They told us the following, it orginally faced away from the admin building which was deemed a problem. So they turned it to face away from College Station. The coed was very proud of this. Really the entire tour she compared tt to A&M and tu. Really turned off my daugher and me.
