It was genius if you think about it. Why go for starters in the portal or all-conference players when you can get their backups/2nd-stringers? LOL

I also kinda wonder about Cushing.

Maybe another program has successfully made that work but for now my skepticism seems validated

I'd spend the majority of available NIL money on keeping a constant pipeline of program built O lineman and RB's ready to start their Junior season and transfer in QB's and WR's

Was extremely hopeful when the kid from ALA (Formby) signed with us.

But then I watched an early ALA game this year, and suddenly realized just WHY that kid was transferring out when he did. He wasn't going to sniff the field for ALA considering the talent they had on the Oline they had this year.

Read somewhere we should go outside the conference and find starters because if they are not good enough to start in the SEC and weren't offered money to start somewhere else there is probably a reason.
So what did we do? We picked up bench players from the SEC.

2022: great OL talent, Bozo Addazio in charge of it
2023: great OL talent, Bozo Addazio in charge of it

That don't impress Shania Twain much.....
