Why does this keep happening to this University, athletic department, and football program? Why?

I started going to games in 1966 and besides the mid 80's it's always been like this.

Because nice guys finish last.

The answer is the Yell Leaders. They are weird and cringey which is not great when they are supposed to be the "Ambassadors" for the university.

How many recruits do we lose every year because they don't want to be associated with the weirdo yell leaders?

The athletic department prioritizes revenue and profit over winning. They are content with mediocre finishes as long as they have a strong financial outlook. Until the athletic department stops accepting mediocrity, we won't win anything meaningful in one of the Big 3 college sports. I have learned to hope for excellence but expect mediocrity.

Unfortunately, we are not even an average SEC football team this year. Only Arkansas and Vanderbilt are worse than us.

Because it happens to pretty much everyone. A&M is ranked 17 out of 130+ FBS teams in wins over the last 50 years. That's a lot of teams more miserable than us.

Got weird right after we moved the Reveilles and gave em a damn scoreboard.
Which was dumb, because they know we never lose, we just run outta time.

They wanna see the damn games. The action, first hand.
Either give em a jumbotron to see, or move em back inside somewhere.

I disagree we have never seen what Joe Bagof Donuts - aka Mike Elko has done here.

No no never has A&M won 11 games then been this bad, never, and never has any coach stuck with a QB like Joey Bag of Donuts has done.

The man actually had the cahunas to criticize Jimbo Fisher.
