The word culture doesnt get thrown around a lot when you are losing, but there are a lot of cultural requirements to getting 25 18 year olds to stay around for 2 or 3 years before they play. None of us have any idea where the heads are with this program.

I read an interesting article about how Sark claims if Archy pants had a different last name, everyone would be praising him for his efforts, instead of constantly criticizing the lad. I disagree, if the Manning name was not there, you would have replaced him already, cause he just aint that good. But because yall are paying him so much, youre afraid to bench him...

If "Name, Image and Likeness" only applies to their last name, then remove the names from the back of the jersey, and play for the name on the front, TEXAS A&M!

Even if you keep them all here and they all develop well and are good citizens, they'll be good enough to play here in 2031-32 or 2032-33.

High school recruiting should be limited to the G6 level of FCS. Why be a AA program?

No one expected this level of performance, so yeah, most were expecting it to stick.

The real issue is trust: with a performance this bad, have they lost trust that Elko can get it done in the future when they are here? Was last year a scheduling and luck thing? That is what the other programs are whispering in their ears.

Other teams can negatively recruit against A&M....team is struggling, coaches are struggling to figure it out, they are not a top 10 team, are we developing players, etc....

Teams we beat out for the verbal will win them back....LSU really wants our QB, UGA wants DE or 2, UM want LBs/DE...

Hopefully we sell on new OC/QB coach, always been open competition, etc....NIL$ is part, but everyone likes the winning spotlight.

Unfortunately, NIL money will be a big deciding factor for these recruits. We may have a 4-8 season but if a recruit is offered big NIL money, they may still come to College Station.

Noise is what gets these kids and their families unsettled. They want stability at coach (and culture) and checks to cash. Our chronically reactive fanbase is its own undoing.

Take a step further back and ask: what does a good high school recruiting class actually get you?

A really successful 2031-32 season? Do you have 4 years to wait.

Who cares. No one should be recruiting high school players.

Something like this. We can't afford to pay a bunch of kids to commit out of high school and then get developed for a few years. It's better to just take all that money and buy what you need for the next season. We know this is true. We just watched LSU destroy Clemson where the two theories were on display.

Get that **** out of here. Every and I mean every fan base complains. All these kids care about these days is who hands out the biggest check. Mom and dad don't give 2 ****s about what people on Texags say as long as the NIL checks cash. Hell most of them have probably never heard of Texags.
