A cesspool primarily collects sewage, often allowing liquids to seep into surrounding soil, whereas a modern septic tank is designed to separate solids from liquids and direct wastewater into a treatment or drainage system.

So it's not that we're not full of crap, we are. It's that we are housed and managed in a safe "Septic Tank" that's relatively harmless unless you decided to come here and take what we say as important or relevant.
