We are sooo close to evening up the series with Arky and then taking the lead, so of course the SEC takes Arky away as an annual opponent.

it is wild how the series vs. Arkansas is almost even
the program has a 4-game winning streak against the Hogs at Kyle now
1991, 2012, 2020, and 2026 via 4 different head coaches
in fact Arkansas is just 1-7 in their last 8 games in College Station
a far cry from how things went against the Razorbacks in the 60's and 70's in CS

I was at the game in 1989 and watched the Aggies get robbed by a phantom call. BS still hurts.
Arkansas won 2322 at Kyle Field on Friday, November 24, 1989. It is still the last time the Razorbacks have won in College Station.
No. 9 Arkansas (Ken Hatfield) came in 81; No. 14/15 Texas A&M (R.C. Slocum's first season) was 72. Arkansas led 1714 at halftime, then Layne Talbot's 38-yard field goal with 8:14 left put the Aggies up 2017.
The finish:
Arkansas drove to the A&M 19. On fourth-and-3, Quinn Grovey's pass to Billy Winston was incomplete, but Larry Horton was called for pass interference after going over Winston's back. Hatfield later said they went for the win because a tie would not keep them alive for the Cotton Bowl.
Five runs later, Barry Foster scored from 2 yards with 2:52 left.
William Thomas blocked Todd Wright's extra point, so it was 2320 Arkansas.
Lance Pavlas's pass was intercepted by Anthoney Cooney at the Arkansas 28 with 1:32 left.
With 29 seconds left, Arkansas punter Allen Meacham took a deliberate safety. That made it 2322 and gave A&M the ball after the free kick.
Pavlas fumbled the snap as time ran out.
The win snapped A&M's 22-game Southwest Conference home winning streak and put Arkansas in position for the SWC title and another Cotton Bowl trip. Slocum called it a bitter loss and said the Aggies still had a chance at the end; he and Horton both disputed the pass-interference call.

Yep. I saw that play and the multiple replays that showed Horton coming over the beck of the receiver with clearly no contact.
The ref that threw the flag was behind Horton and could not or would not see the body clearance. Two other refs saw the play but let the call stand.
The TV announcers said only, "there's not much there."
