How long do you want to ignore this user?
Hello,

I am looking to attend my first A&M game with some friends (who are also first-timers) this Saturday (9/19, not 2/19 lol !) vs Kentucky. How early should I arrive? I will be travelling from out of town, and I am planning on parking @ downtown Bryan for the free shuttle and parking, does the parking there get filled quickly? Also, what pre-game activities should I look to do? Thanks in advance.

Park and ride in Bryan is a great choice. A little construction made it a hair less enjoyable than normal but still the right move. You should be able to find a spot regardless of when you arrive.

Get off the shuttle and make your way to Aggie Park is always a good time. I usually have a small cooler bag with a few beers to have once I get off the shuttle.

Don't miss the flyover so that is when you need to be in your seat.

Buy a parking pass closer, plenty available. Enjoy the tailgating wherever you land.

Where are you coming from?

Everytime I leave Kyle Field I see that massive shuttle line in front of the MSC and say "I'm never doing that".

If you get there early enough the campus garage near the Commons isn't a bad deal. I won't say where I park because it's awesome and I don't want you degenerates stealing my spot.

The shuttle is easy to use and the parking garage ($5) doesn't usually get full until closer to kickoff. It starts running 3 hours before game time.

FYI - The flyover is generally scheduled to take place about 8 minutes prior to scheduled kick-off. Give yourself plenty of time to get through the ticket line and walk to your seats. I'm no help on how long it takes for the shuttle to get you from the parking area in Bryan to their drop location near the stadium. Never done that.

Muy… i park out past Bush library every time (on the Bush bus route)… that massive line outside MSC after each game goes very fast (they have several buses on the Bush route).. i pay $25 for parking out there.. it works great

Been using the shuttle for years- since the pickup was at Post Oak Mall. The only experience I have had parking on campus for anything was for the George Strait concert. Over 100,000 for that also and took about two hours to get off campus- I could see the hotel we were staying at and could have probably walked to it faster. Yes, there is always a line to get on the shuttle after the game and maybe sitting in the car with the a/c going for an hour or longer is better than standing and sweating for 45 minutes to get on the shuttle, but I put a priority on getting away from the traffic. The shuttle starts running I think three hours before kickoff. You'll be welcome at any tailgate. The corps march in starts an hour and a half before kickoff from the corps dorms- passing in review of military officers is an impressive sight. Be in your seats at least 20 minutes before kickoff- flyover is right at the end of singing of the National Anthem and will be flying from south to north over the stadium. And finally, wait until the band is thru performing at half time before heading to the john.

The bus route from Bryan take about 15-20 minutes each way. The line after the game is really long but moves incredibly fast, they are rolling tons of busses. 10 minutes or less unless you let the whole stadium empty out before leaving Kyle.

The Corps of Cadets will step out an hour and a half before the game on the quad and March over to Kyle Field, so if you want to get there before that, it's something to watch. Click on this link and it will take you too much of the information for things around the stadium.
