Refreshingly direct. But when is it just talk? I'd argue it isn't yet after an 11-2 year even accounting for the disappointing Carolina, t.u., and DahU games. Plus he followed up on reporter questions and answered in a forthcoming way and in the line discussion took responsibility for the coaches doing what they are paid to do.

I think Owens has been slightly better than Morrow. Edward's and Baker look like better runners though.

Count me as one that thinks Mike is awesome in these press conferences. Direct , honest, well spoken, easy to like imo.

Especially liked the answer about the OL play. when asked if he expected the OL play to get better with time . Paraphrasing "We don't expect anything. It's our job to work to figure out ways to make it happen". Proactive winner's mentality.

So it's Owens because he was a 5 star out of high school? Owens gets it by default?
Every RB has to prove on the field besides Owens? Ok.

I think too many people forget that roughly 25-33%* of a player's overall development in college happens during the season, and we are in week 2. It's early and teams will look completely different as the year progresses.

*assumption: most players only see meaningful on field time for roughly 3 years of their college career.

Didn't Elko praise him after the Missouri St game also and say he needed to be more involved? Yet he only has 8 carries total. 3 vs Az St. How about giving him 10-12 touches early vs Kentucky and let's see what happens.

The only pass play I can remember watching Edwards on was in the opener, and he did a great job of picking up the defensive end that had beaten the left tackle.

Small sample size I know, but it was an excellent pickup.

We were only up by 4 points going into the fourth, because most of our drives started in ASU territory.
Reed has shown flashes of greatness, but for now is a mid level QB.
Running game only showed flashes when Edwards went in. Until they make the change to him, running game will stay the same.
Oline showed no signs of jelling in the run game.
I agree with the defense, other than the secondary could have been better. But we know what they are capable of.
