A&M moved from 8 to 10.

The Ags have got to be one of the most slept on teams this offseason and through week 1. I've maybe only seen one playoff prediction that has A&M in it.

Yet, LSwho beats a terrible Clemson team and everyone is singing their praises. Really annoying. Hopefully we dominate ASU, UK, and LSU (stadium cleanout part 2) and our boys get the respect they deserve.

Clemson beats Missouri State by at least 3 touchdowns

Not surprised, we have always been the Rodney Dangerfield in the eyes of the pollsters.

Cards QB was ripping off massive gains against Ole Piss defense.

While Ole Miss did look fairly lethal on offense...they will lose some SEC games with that kind of D showing.

A&M takes care of business against someone I already forgot.

Ole Miss and LSU take on meh-mediocre P4 teams and jump us.

I see nothing wrong with this.

I like it. Our guys always need the extra motivation and this is the best way to do it.

I have no beef with LSU passing us. I get that Clemson is likely down this year, but that was a really impressive win.

As many here have said….just keep winning. None of this means a thing. "If" we beat LSU, bama, and Tenn., the ranking will be just fine.

Voters had us at 8 because they had to after last year. No one really thinks we will be a top 10 team again, so they are happy to move us down

lol. Moving down 2 spots after putting up a 50-0 shutout and being the best defense from this week?

Sips moving up a spot after nearly giving up 400 yards to the almighty Texas State? After convincing themselves that a retread DC hire was going to get them over the hump to being elite?

All I need to know. Just win and the rest will take care of itself

This will get taken care of in a few weeks, but it is silly they jumped us when both teams did exactly what they were supposed to do.

I think LSU had the best week 1 performance across all NCAAF. Because its week one, I dont have an issue with aggressive rank shifting. I was surprised that LSU wasnt ranked better before the season started.

In general, I do not care about moving a few spots up or down after what was essentially a scrimmage game. That being said, it is concerning that we were moved down while other teams were not moved enough. F*** LSU, but they have the best win of the season so far and should be ranked higher. Oregon, on the other hand, barely squeaked out a win against an unranked team (that remains unranked in the current poll) and only went down four spots, while keeping 3 first place votes. Indiana didn't look near as dominant against their cupcake as other teams and still jumped a spot. Houston struggled against Oregon State and somehow went up a spot.

The problem with the AP poll is the same as it has always been. Most of the voters watch a couple of games at most, skim through the highlights in a couple others, and mostly just check scores for anything that looks egregious. They take thier list from last week, move a few teams around based on notable events, and otherwise just let everything else slide up or down around it.

We've earned the reputation

LSU rode last year's win at Clemson to #2 or 3. Then they crapped the bed. Clemson started last year ranked and turned out to be a bad football team. That helps explain why LSU wasn't ranked higher to begin the season - they weren't very good last season. As far as we know, Clemson is worse this year than last. So, I'm not anointing LSU as a contender because as far as we know, Clemson is hot garbage and will lose a lot of games

We should have won 75-0. 50-0 is impressive against someone good. Our opponent was horrible and we were not that good on offensive line play.

It's dumb and annoying, but unfortunately many of the voters don't know ball. I wouldn't read much into it. Just win and the rest will work itself out.

If we dominate the next three opponents and clear out the LSU stadium in the third-quarter like we did last year, we will move up at least a few spots to around number six or seven in the rankings

I don't think I have ever seen a team win 50-0 and drop in the polls.

They outsacked us! They even sacked Marcel 2 plays in a row which is VERY telling about the OL.

OL being full of holes against weaker opponents is why we moved down. We deserved to move down.

I completely agree with the AP poll this week. Although i hate to see the Aggies fall, it was only 19-0 at the half. The AP poll did a good job of showing that they can and will make big moves this year

As I said in the other poll thread, Ole Miss' defense looked like hot garbage. Had the Louisville QB not been so horrible early in the game, Ole Miss would've lost.

We could have had 75 if we wanted it. We ran the ball almost 50 times. We weren't trying to maximize the scoreboard, just take care of business...I don't think serious coaches and programs are trying to put up 80 in games like this. Feels like a very Kevin Sumlin type thing, not something Mike Elko would go for.

OL play was fine once they got gelling...a bunch of new pieces working together, week one, it isn't a shocker they made a couple mistakes early on.
