Any thoughts on how much of the west side will be in the shade at kickoff ?

My recliner will be precisely 72 degrees and completely shaded.

2:30 games are the absolute worst, regardless of what month it's played. Takes up way too much of your Saturday (or your entire Saturday if you attend the game).

I prefer 11am or after 7pm and still have plenty of time for stuff that actually matters.

Funny how it doesn't show much of the west side in August.

I disagree because I think 11:00 AM games are the worst. I understand that an 11:00 AM kickoff means having the rest of your day to do other things, but it also means having to wake up early. For example, I have to leave Austin by 7:00 AM to arrive in College Station at 9:00 AM for an 11:00 AM game. I prefer night games the most because I can get some things done before leaving Austin at 1:00 PM for a night kickoff.

I love the atmosphere of night games. Especially big games. But my wife and I get to College Station on Friday. I now like day games a little more. Friday night dinner, wake up Saturday have breakfast and then no long wait for the game. Watch the game go back to the hotel, watch other games for a while then meet with friends for dinner and to watch the big night game. Great weekend!

the bigger issue this fall may be the Hwy 6 construction...especially if you're driving up from the Houston area

2:30pm kickoff...leave the house by ?

I disagree because I think 11:00 AM games are the best and 2:30 PM games are the worst. For 11:00 AM games I can wake up at 10:55 AM if I want to and use the restroom and walk to my living room to begin watching the Texas A&M Aggies football game at 11:00 AM. Or, I can wake up at 8:00 AM, go for a long run or lift weights for a while, eat breakfast and then start watching the game at 11:00 AM. If I have tickets for an 11:00 AM game, I can leave my house in Houston, Texas at 9:00 AM, watch the game in College Station, Texas, and drive back home to arrive in the early afternoon, still leaving me ample time for other weekend activities and family time.

Yeah, Jimbo was the worst at scheduling game times.

Don't rely on the shade study. One time I did, in reckless disregard of my years of experience. We fried.
