It's that time again where you hope and pray you get to move up a few rows from last year!

Just got the email about upcoming dates and Seat Selection will begin on April 28, and should take 4-5 weeks. Look for your email.

This is what I found the most interesting though...Good bye resellers and scalpers! 2,900 new seats just opened up

This part was very interesting. I imagine some of our resident TexAgs ticket brokers were impacted:

Hats off to them, long overdue IMO.

2,900 is a good start.

Damn, that's pretty awesome. I'm curious how they targeted those accounts.

The tracking data they have on every single ticket is very impressive. They can see how many times a ticket has been transferred, and to whom. They have full SeatGeek data visibility, and possibly other resale sites too, including listing and selling prices. They know how much the secondary market is paying for each seat, row, and section for all sports.

They also monitor this site...

There were two seats in LC6, top row, that were listed for resale for every game the past several years. An obvious reseller situation. Glad TMF is enforcing its own policies so that good Ags can enjoy the games.

There were seven seats on my row at Reed for MBB that were on SeatGeek for every game this past season. I'm hoping they're doing the same thing with basketball, too.

I suspect that the collected value from the sale(s) also was considered.

possibly, maybe even probable. I know personal issues have caused me to miss some games. The dudes on the ticket exchange constantly asking above face (and donation) right out of the box were first to be busted seems justified

Curious to see what's available this year. That's not very many seats.
