Why doesn't anyone do an old school toe kick? Its not as good as the soccer kick but it takes way way less skill.

Soccer style had a pretty serious learning curve for me and I played college soccer.


Wonder if its too lame like shooting granny style. Ugh that's probably it.

That and its not at all as easy as it looks.

Even very experienced and skilled soccer players need a few to eliminate that English you see on tv. Goalies have it easier but most field players will put that spin on a soccer ball on a free kick like that. I took all my teams freekicks, still do in the Wednesday beer league, and kicking a football was not super simple for me until I got coached up a bit.

I think teams should have multiple kickers that come out of a bullpen wearing a 'K' instead of a number. They arent real football players.

I'd be wearing square toe boots in the event I was selected. Similar to the kicking shoe our high school had back in the 90s. Just need to make sure you don't let your plant foot slip.
