Let's start by saying that I think we win a close game against Miami at home, but we don't enter any game with zero level of concerns.
My biggest concern in not just this game, but the overall potential for a playoff run, is the Klein's level of distraction while juggling the two biggest moments of his career at the same time.
We will need an unprecedented level of 4D chess to scheme against the toughest stretch in our history that's requires 110% attention and then some. I would expect any level of overtime needed during this time that I'm not certain we can get. But there are ways this can be overcome.
Elko is smart enough to understand the dilemma at hand and I'm sure is finding ways to compensate or ensure this issue is minimized as much as possible. In addition, we have a co-OC on staff that clearly has interest in becoming an OC at some point.
And as for Klein, a deep playoff run or more would make his job so much easier on the recruiting front as a HC. So I'm certain that he's all in even though there will be a natural level of distraction involved. And that distraction is completely gone once the first snap takes place.
For me, it's a battle of BAS vs hope. I'm certain the 12th Man will show up big time regardless of time for the biggest match Kyle Field has ever seen, and Elko will have the scheme ready and our boys ready to knock doors down.
So BAS be damned. The sleeping giant is finally awake and we're coming for it all.
