Silver Linings (yes, I know I'm getting flamed for this one)

1. We're in the playoff with a coach early in his tenure.
-We've reached 11 wins for this first time since JFF. We are guaranteed a playoff spot. This was achieved in our head coach's second year.
2. We will likely have a home playoff game.
-Kyle Field in December for an impactful matchup should be outstanding. What a beautiful sight that will be to behold!
3. Three weeks to rehab and game plan.
-Players were going down left and right. We had four athletes out yesterday. We're banged up, but two weeks can do wonders.
-I anticipate the GAs on staff are prepping early game plans for the most likely teams we will play against. Elko will work NSD this week while the staff preps for our first ever playoff run.
4. A chance to prove doubters wrong.
-This team plays best with a bit more anger.

And the biggest silver lining of all…

5. Now the younger generation will understand why these sips are the worst.
-Multiple generations of Aggies went through school hearing about the rivalry, but not understanding the true vitriol it holds. Now they've gotten two years of it.
-You didn't hear much from their fans when they were going to OT against MSU and Kentucky, or getting slapped by Florida.
-But now that they're ascending, you have to listen to their crap nonstop.
-This will only serve to ingratiate the younger Ags to the older generation's viewpoint that there's nothing worse than a happy sip.

I'd feel better if it didn't seem as if we're starting to slide at the worst possible time. We also had to pull off a 30-3 comeback against a 4 win team.

Good points. Hopefully, we'll be playing looser like we have nothing to lose from here on out. Everybody from the coaches on down seemed tight last night.

One last silver lining is these seniors get another game at Kyle. Something they have earned.

In some ways I'd rather have a home playoff game after a few weeks to get healthy with rather than a mostly meaningless SECC game in Atlanta against Alabama/UGA. Flame away.

We got torched by a qb w downs

I hope your right op, but I'm back to expecting nothing from this team

First round exit won't shock at all

Agree, we might have peaked too early this season. 6 or 7 of our last 8 quarters (excluding Samford) have been awful to underwhelming.

Hate losing to the sips.
However, it might make us better. We can hopefully get healthy. We can hopefully regain focus. Hopefully we can dissect the film to identify what all went wrong and correct it. We will need a better plan and execution moving forward.

I concur. Even with a win last night, I did not anticipate us beating Alabama or Georgia. It did not seem like we were playing our best ball, nor did it seem like we were back to full health.

Playing in the SECCG adds another week's worth of training load and subtracts a week of recovery. Note: I am not saying I'm happy we are not playing in the CG.

We need Moss back in a bad way. He makes everything else work.
