Don't tell sip fans that. They'll point out that ol' Archie has very similar stats to the Heisman front runners
Anyone who says that hasn't been paying attention.
One of Marcel's games (Samford) he got pulled after the first drive of the 2nd Q.
A&M has also had more games where they were up big and just worried about running out the clock.
A&M didn't throw a single pass during the 4thQ of the LSU game. (read the bold part again).
Arch averaging 31 passes per game over 11 games for a total of 341 passes
Marcel averaging 28 passes per game over 11 games for a total of 306 passes
Marcel has thrown 35 fewer passes than Arch (the equivalent to an entire game worth of passes) and Arch still only had 11 more passing yards.
I can keep going, but when you stop using selective stats without context, and start paying attention to what's actually happening, it's clear one is better than the other.
Of course, the stat they always leave out:
Arch: 8-3
Marcel: 11-0
None of it will matter after we put belt to ass on Friday, though.
